PADI Sidemount Diver
Maximise your dive time so you can explore more and get that perfect “sidemount” trim!
In this Specialty course, you learn how to dive using a 2-tank system, with individual regulator assemblies for each cylinder. This will allow you to switch between tanks and the tanks are fully detachable at any point in the dive, perfect for Wreck and Cave/Cavern Diving!
You will learn:
- How to set up sidemount regulators and adjust the sidemount harness and bladder system
- Switching between your different cylinders and how to comfortably and safely do so
- How to detach and re-attach your cylinders during a dive
- Tank management throughout the dive to ensure a comfortable trim and streamlined position for the entire dive
A lot of people interested in tech diving will often start on the recreational-level courses to build up knowledge and understanding before delving deeper into the realms of tech diving. This is a great initial course to start understanding sidemount diving.
