PADI Wreck Diver
Wrecks hold an enchanting and mesmerising force over many divers. If the need to explore is irresistible and intriguing, then we will teach you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible Wreck diving.
The course includes 4 dives but if you have completed a wreck dive during your PADI Advanced Open Water course then this can be credited towards your Speciality – this means that you only have to complete 3 dives, and get 1 fun dive included in your course.
You will learn, practice, and master:
- techniques for diving and exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
- how to research and learn the background of your favorite wreck
- wreck diving equipment considerations
- considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks
- to plan, organise and make 4 wreck dives
Wrecks tend to sit in deeper water which makes this Speciality good to take along with the PADI Enriched Air Diver and/or the PADI Deep Diver specialty course.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The typical PADI Wreck Diver Specialty schedule is completed over 3 days. The first afternoon is usually getting the theory completed so you feel prepared and ready for your dives. Followed by 2 mornings of diving (course schedule subject to slight change). We recommend you contact us and we can tailor a course or a package of courses to suit your needs.
The course includes all the elements required for completion: your own copy of the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty manual, internationally recognised PADI Wreck Diver specialty certification card, full equipment hire and boat fees, high quality instruction from experienced and qualified instructors, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments on the boat, tea, coffee, water, Wifi and internet station use in the dive centre too.

The Wreck Diver course pairs great with the Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver course. With only a little extra work, you can get certified to dive on Nitrox, allowing you greater bottom time, shorter surface intervals, and safer diving.

IMPORTANT DETAILS
PAYMENT – Deposit is non-refundable. Balance to be paid in full upon arrival.
PREREQUISITES – To enrol in the PADI Wreck Diver Speciality, you must be 15 years or older and have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation).
MEDICAL – There are certain medical conditions like asthma and heart conditions which may prevent you from diving. Please read the medical statement and let us know if any of the conditions listed on the form apply to you or any of your group prior to making a booking.
FLYING AFTER DIVING – Please note when booking your holiday and transport that you should have at least 24 hours in between your last dive and flying.
BEFORE BOOKING – Our team work hard to provide a safe, fun, efficient and well organized dive centre. We work hard to ensure your dive experience is a positive one. With this in mind, before booking, please read through the policies we have developed to help us ensure your time with us goes as smoothly as possible. Please note that the dive centre is closed 1st January, 14th April & 25th December. If any of these dates fall into your intended travel dates, please contact us first before booking.
