Our adventures

White Rock and Pottery Pinnacles on 7th July ’11

With a slight increase in the wind we chose our sites for the day carefully with 2 courses on board and a few teams of Fun Divers, William and Zhen were scheduled to finish their Open Water Course, and Daniel and Simon were starting their Advanced. William was having a very exciting day as it was his birthday as well, a great way to spend the day we think, getting certified.

Conditions at White Rock were great, and everyone had big beaming grins descending the line as you could almost see end to end over the dive site (White Rock is one of the biggest dive sites available). There was a lot to see at White Rock and a very special guest was the large Green Turtle.

Following this dive we headed to Junkyard, a Macro spotters dreamland, certainly as the Sea Hares have moved back in, and are flying majestically around the site. There were some regular fishy friends to enjoy though with a couple of Giant Pufferfish (1 in particular looked puzzled at the controls of the truck that lies in Junkyard). The squad of Batfish were still keeping a watchful eye on the giant scrap cockroach, and there has been a few new arrivals of the Yellow Boxfish kind among others that were very exciting to see settling in.

A great day had by all, of course congratulations to Zhen and William, and we look forward to your return under the sea.  Check out the slideshow below for more images of todays diving.
