Our adventures

Laem Thien and Tanote Bay on the 7th Dec’11

This afternoons visit to Laem Thien and Tanote Bay were very exciting for Rebecca, Alan, Natalie and Stephen as these dives were to be the first  of their Open Water Course.

Wilco was their instructor but Rebecca and Alan had chosen to complete the theory before they arrived with PADIs Elearning tool.  This meant that they got the mornings to themselves and could enjoy lazy lie ins if they wished.

Stephan and Ulrich were also completing their Open Water Course and you can see them practicing their navigation above.  As you can see the water is still a little green and  the vis is around 7m but theres still funky things to see.

We had not been around to Laem Thian since we cleaned the beach before closing for monsoon.  This time of year brings high water and any discarded rubbish on the beach would otherwise end up in the ocean.

Tori and Cam were on board too – they had decided to continue to their Advanced Open Water, completing their deep and navigation this afternoon, and their night dive later on.

Above water it was warm and sunny and the cruise around to the other side of the island was enjoyed by all.
