Our adventures

Japanese Gardens 11th Feb’12

There were plenty of familiar faces on the boat today. I was out to photograph a group of fun divers, with Veronika and Gereon fresh out of their Open Water course and Rescue Diver course as well as Gunter and Wenqing who were eager to fit a couple more dives in before leaving the island.

We loaded up the boat and headed out for an afternoon at Japanese Gardens for what was set to be a great afternoon of diving. As we pulled up at the dive site you could see exactly how amazing the conditions were. Looking out off the side of the boat you could make out every piece of coral and every fish through the crystal clear water.

We jumped in for our first dive where we would head north out of the bay in the direction of Red Rock. With this being one of my favorite dives on the island, I knew this dive would be a beautiful dive, as did the rest of the group. We spent the dive cruising around between the huge coral formations and enjoying the perfect conditions.

The second dive was just as nice with plenty to look at. After our surface interval we jumped in and headed in the opposite direction, this time to the south. There was more than enough to see and photograph including Six Banded Angelfish, Emperor fish, Blue Spotted Rays as well as the usual suspects.

We got back to the shop with 4 very happy customers eager to take a look at the photos from the day on the big screen and fill in their log books with all the things we saw during the 2 dives with their Divemaster.
