Our adventures

Green Rock and Twins on the 28th Feb’12

After a beautiful warm morning on Koh Tao we made our way out to Green Rock for our first dive of the afternoon I would be following Andreas on the first dive of his Open Water Diver course with his instructor. Descending onto the dive site there was a tiny bit of a current and the visibility in the deeper sections of the pinnacle was not perfect but it was still a lovely dive.

As it was dive one there were no skills to complete so we were free to explore the dive site. It seemed to be heaving with sea snakes with at least three different ones spotted along the dive. We also came across a Scorpionfish, loads of Triggerfish and a beautiful school of Yellowtail Barracuda on top of the pinnacle. Andreas enjoyed his dive and was eager to jump in for his second.

We made the short journey round to Twins for the second dive of the day. For this dive I would be following Rafe and Sam during the Navigation dive for their Advanced Open Water course. After some swimming around with compasses completing the navigation exercises we were free to enjoy the dive site. The conditions were ideal and we saw all sorts of reef life including Scorpionfish, Pufferfish, Nudibranches and all sorts of shrimps and critters.

Once back on the boat we packed our gear away and made the short journey back to the shop where we could sit down and look through all the photos from the day up o the big screen.
