Another week, another video highlighting some more fantastic dives that we’ve enjoyed!
Once again, this week’s report was put together by one of our favorites – world renowned videograogher Elisabeth Lauwerys from Oceans Below. This week Liz has been completing Danny & Rafa’s video course, and while they were off practicing, Liz has captured some brilliant footage of her own to share with us in this weeks Dive Site Report. Rafa proved himself difficult to lose in his new rash vest – as you will see in the closing scenes of this weeks video! 😉
It’s been a glorious week of sunshine, with temperatures getting high again, which was a pleasant change after a couple of weeks of changeable weather. There was a little wind, but nothing to create significant waves. Everyone got caught out with a bit of a boat burn or rash vest/wet suit tan line at some point this week. Koh Tao first world problem…it’s a hard life! 😉
We took advantage of the flatter surface conditions to visit many of the deeper sites so that those fun diving with us could explore further into the depths, and we have been rewarded with some fantastic marine life sightings. Between Chumphon Pinnacle, Green Rock and the wreck of the HTMS Sattakut we save seen so many fishes! From schools of snapper and trevally, to a family of lion fish and some giant groupers too. We also visited Aow Leuk for some shallower dive sessions on our PADI Discover Scuba Diving courses. First time divers were thrilled to see schools of yellowtail barracuda and butterfly fish, and great dives were enjoyed by all
We’ll be back to good old fashioned photo’s in next week’s report, but for now we hope you enjoy the video. Dont forget you can You can follow Oceans Below on instagram @oceans_below
