Weekly Diving Report – August 17th – 23rd 2019

Here’s to another week of stunning diving on Koh Tao. The wind has been picking up, which generally limits us a little bit in our dive site selection, but we had great visibility, almost no currents and generally awesome conditions:

Despite the weather, we managed to get out to spots that are a little bit further away, such as Chumphon Pinnacle or Lighthouse. But we also covered more local favourites like for example Mango Bay in the North of Koh Tao or Twins.

Our instructor Adi was very pleased that her student returned to complete his PADI Open Water Diver certification. And even better, he signed up for his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course right away and together they had a blast exploring Chumphon or our local shipwreck, the HTMS Sattakut.

With the peak of European summer holidays, we generally also welcome a lot more families with kids on the island. It’s great to see them dive together and it’s such a great adventure to share with your entire family! At a minimum age of 8 years kids can make their first steps fin kicks under water and explore diving through the so called PADI Bubblemaker program.

All in all it was a fantastic week with new divers, dive professionals, happy fun divers and lots and lots of bubbles!
