PADI TECHNICAL DIVING COURSES
Technical Diving Courses in Koh Tao
Unlock the next level of your diving with world-class technical diving courses in Koh Tao, Thailand—a premier destination for deep diving, wreck exploration, and advanced diver development. If you’re ready to move beyond no-decompression limits and explore the depths with confidence, our comprehensive PADI TecRec training program is your ideal next step. We offer the full progression of PADI tec courses—Tec 40, Tec 45, Tec 50, along with Tec Sidemount and the PADI Gas Blender course—designed to take you from advanced recreational diver to fully equipped technical diver.
Our training is conducted from a dedicated technical diving boat, fully outfitted for tec operations including twinsets, sidemount setups, stage/deco cylinders, and gas blending support. You’ll gain hands-on experience with real technical dive procedures on a variety of dive sites, including a minimum of 2–3 different wrecks around Koh Tao, along with deep reef and pinnacle systems.
Each course is tailored to build your competence and confidence step by step:
-
PADI Tec 40 qualifies you to perform limited decompression dives to 40 meters, using enriched air blends up to 50% oxygen, and introduces essential tec skills like gas management and dive planning.
-
PADI Tec 45 expands your depth range to 45 meters and prepares you for longer decompression obligations, using decompression gases with up to 100% oxygen to accelerate off-gassing and improve safety.
-
PADI Tec 50 is your full entry-level certification as a technical diver, allowing you to conduct extended, multi-stop decompression dives to a maximum of 50 meters with 100% oxygen as a decompression gas.
You can also complete the PADI Tec Sidemount course to gain mastery over the sidemount configuration, perfect for tight wrecks, cave-style environments, or redundancy in tec setups. For those interested in mixing their own gases, the PADI Gas Blender course teaches you to blend nitrox and trimix safely and accurately—an essential skill in any technical diving environment.
With Koh Tao’s calm waters, excellent visibility, and easy access to deep dive sites, it’s one of the best places in Southeast Asia to train as a tec diver. Our experienced instructors, small class sizes, and commitment to safety ensure you receive personal attention and practical training throughout your journey.

So, you’ve mastered recreational diving and you’re wondering what’s next. Maybe you’ve felt that pull toward the deeper blue—the wrecks that lie just out of reach, or the idea of pushing past the no-deco limits to explore longer and further. That’s where PADI Tec 40 comes in. It’s your introduction to the world of technical diving, and a chance to experience a whole new side of underwater exploration.
You don’t need to be a pro to get started. If you’re an Advanced Open Water diver with your Deep and Nitrox specialties, and at least 30 dives logged (with some deeper and on enriched air), you’re ready to take the plunge. Tec 40 is designed to be approachable, giving you the chance to train with specialist gear—like twin cylinders or sidemount—and start practicing limited decompression dives using oxygen mixes up to 50%.
And if your goals go beyond personal adventure—maybe you’re working toward becoming a Divemaster or Instructor—technical training is a powerful way to round out your skills. It shows confidence, competence, and a readiness to handle more advanced dive planning and environments. Many of our divers take Tec 40 alongside our PADI Divemaster or Instructor Development Course (IDC) to stand out from the crowd and prepare for a career that includes both recreational and tec-level diving.
At Master Divers, we take pride in creating a relaxed but professional learning environment. With small groups, experienced instructors, and a dedicated tec diving boat, you’ll get hands-on training in real-world scenarios—including deep dives on Koh Tao’s wrecks and deeper reef sites.
If you’re ready to step beyond the usual dive limits and explore what lies beneath 30 meters, Tec 40 is the place to start. And there’s nowhere better to do it than Koh Tao, with its perfect blend of depth, accessibility, and a thriving tec diving community.
