PADI IDC Staff Instructor
Our PADI IDC Staff Instructor course runs every month and will provide you with the additional training necessary to staff and assist on PADI Instructor Development Courses. As a PADI Staff Instructor, you will be qualified to teach the PADI Assistant Instructor course independently, as well as assist on the full IDC and PADI Speciality Instructor training programs.
During the course, you’ll brush up on your dive theory, and also audit an IDC to gain advanced presentation techniques and assessment practice. It’s a great career move as you will be significantly more employable within the industry thanks to your additional skills and experience in teaching and mentoring instructor level programmes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The course runs for 17 days in total. The PADI Instructor Development Course itself takes 15 days, with the PADI Staff Instructor course beginning 2 days prior to the scheduled IDC start date each month. During these 2 days you’ll be taking some pre-assessments and helping our PADI Course Director prepare for the IDC.
You’ll gain some valuable skills to help improve you as instructor across both recreational and professional level courses, from teaching to evaluating skill circuits and much more too, this is great course to add to your resume.
The course includes boat fees, top quality instruction from PADI Course Director Colin Adams, tea, coffee, water and light refreshments on the boat.

Plus you will be eligible for generous professional discount on equipment purchases, we are happy to organise shopping trips whilst you are on island, to allow us to give our professional advice on high quality dive equipment.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PAYMENT – Deposit is non-refundable. Balance to be paid in full upon arrival.
You will need to purchase a PADI Course Director Manual and you will also need to have your own sets of confined open water and open water assessment slates, we can offer these all to you for a price of 18,500 THB.
There will also be further costs, payable to PADI for the Staff Instructor Application.
PREREQUISITES – To enroll in the PADI Staff Instructor course, you must be an active PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and be at least 18 years of age. If you would like to do this course and are not yet an MSDT, don’t worry. We can teach you everything you need!
You must have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months and be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
FLYING AFTER DIVING – Please note when booking your holiday and transport that you should have at least 24 hours in between your last dive and flying.
