As a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), you already know how to create confident, safe scuba divers. The PADI IDC Staff Instructor course is your gateway to the administrative and mentorship side of the dive industry. By completing this certification, you earn the ability to independently teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses and officially assist PADI Course Directors during full Instructor Development Courses (IDCs).

If your ultimate goal is to become a PADI Master Instructor or Course Director, this is your essential next step.

The Master Divers Difference for Pro Candidates

When you are learning to evaluate other professionals, the quality of your own mentors is everything. You don't want to be lost in a crowded "instructor factory."

  • Elite CDC Mentorship: Learn directly from our resident PADI Course Directors who have decades of global industry experience.

  • Real-World Auditing: You won’t just sit in a classroom; you will actively audit a complete Master Divers IDC, evaluating real instructor candidates under the guidance of our senior team.

  • Premium Logistics: Conduct your training from our beachfront dive center and custom Dive boat, ensuring a frictionless, professional environment free from pier crowds.

  • Conservation Leadership: We integrate our strong marine conservation ethos into our professional training, teaching you how to pass these crucial values on to new instructors.

  • The deposit is non-refundable. Balance is to be paid in full upon arrival.

  • For your training, you are required to have your own set of PADI Staff Instructor materials from which you can study and refer. We offer these materials for just 15,000THB

  • Upon completion, there will also be a further cost, payable to PADI directly for the Divemaster Application, of AUS$ 236.

During the IDC Staff Instructor program, you will master the PADI evaluation system. The course includes:

  1. Pre-Assessment: A review of your dive theory knowledge and an evaluation of your instructor-level water skills.

  2. Evaluation Training: Learning the objective criteria used to score academic, confined water, and open water teaching presentations.

  3. Auditing an IDC: You will sit in on a full Instructor Development Course, practicing your evaluation skills on actual candidates while comparing your scores directly with our Course Directors.

  4. Counseling Skills: Learning how to give constructive, positive feedback to help instructor candidates overcome teaching challenges.

To enroll in the PADI IDC Staff Instructor course, you must:

  • Be an active, renewed PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT).
