We can’t believe it’s April already! And no, we are not going to trick you into an April fools joke, but we actually prepared a nice surprise for you. We’ve been looking back at the previous weeks and selected our favourite pictures and memories of 2019 so far.
It’s been a fantastic start to the year, with some great diving and week by week the visibility and conditions have been improving. Our in-house photographer Dan has been providing us with a great amount of amazing shots so far:
We’ve had a rather interesting start to the year when tropical storm ‘Pabuk’ threatened to blow our little island home away. However, it ultimately veered off and luckily we only saw the tail end of it.
Quite soon after, the weather turned and the diving conditions improved quickly. We decided it’s time to bring our Weekly Diving Reports back to life. With Dan (back) on board as our new in-house photographer, we were ready to publish our first report for 2019 in the beginning of February.
Not only did we bring back our weekly update of the diving conditions, we also had a long overdue ‘spring clean’ of our blog and managed to create a nice little archive for all previous ‘Weekly Diving Reports’. You can now easily browse all reports for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015-2017.
Another big moment for Master Divers was when we introduced our new conservation identity called Master Divers EARTH in mid-March. This is a big passion-project of our owner and general manager, Elaine, and she was excited to share with us, what Master Divers EARTH means to her.
During March we also hosted a very special underwater clean up where we collected 15.7kg of marine debris during Koh Tao’s 300th registered ‘Dive Against Debris’. And, now it’s already time to look forward to Koh Tao Earth Day 2019!
Stay in touch for next week’s report and spoiler alert: there are some more big news that we will reveal very soon…
