Wasn’t it just Christmas last week? Or Songkran? We’re confused… It feels like the year has only just started, but when we checked our calendar, it said it’s already June!!!
But with the new month the conditions have cleared up and we had very nice visibility again last week and our divers had the chance to enjoy a big variety of all different types of marine life. But why spoiler our latest Weekly Diving Report when you can simply have a look for yourself:
While the weather has been sunny and the surface mostly flat, our boats went out to some of our most popular local diving spots. If you follow our reports, you will notice that we dive at White Rock, Mango Bay and Japanese Gardens on a regular basis. Those divesites generally offer perfect conditions for teaching PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs or PADI Open Water Diver courses while at the same time being interesting for our snorkellers and fun divers.
We had a couple of new divers with us last week. And who wouldn’t want to log their first dives on Koh Tao when the visibility is as clear as it has been last week? But don’t get too distracted by what’s around you and always remember to keep checking your air on a regular basis:
We have been graced with regular visits from these cute guys lately. White Rock is the site where our divers have spotted this photogenic turtle and it almost seems as if it’s posing for the camera. Say cheese!
Equally as relaxed is this pufferfish. We have a few different species of puffers on Koh Tao. This guy is also know as the ‘Starry Puffer’ and we are absolutely in love with this name. Fun fact: The size of its ‘starry-like’ spots is inversely proportional to it’s body size: large spots for the juveniles and smaller spots for the adults.
Not only our marine life knows how to pose for a photo – in fact look at Jason and his student striking the ultimate pose under water… And don’t worry, we checked with Jason himself, that’s not a ‘thumbs up’, promised!
Safe diving, guys and hopefully see you back here next Monday!
