Weekly Diving Report – Staff DSD Special Edition

If you regularly follow our Weekly Diving Report you would have probably noticed that we talked about getting into the quieter times of the year – or what people call low season.

The nice thing when it gets a bit quieter for us is that we actually have some time to catch up with things (did you notice the amazing housekeeping we did on the blog?) and also to go out diving ‘for fun’ – what a crazy concept, right? Last week we actually decided to take some of our hard working colleagues from Master Divers and our beachside café, the Coconut Monkey, out for the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience and it’s safe to say: they absolutely loved it!

After successfully completing the classroom part of the DSD the team went over to the ‘wetside’ to size up for the equipment. Look how the girls are rocking their wetsuits!

And equally the boys look like real divers already:

Next thing on their schedule were a couple of skills in confined water. This is to ensure that everyone is comfortable with their equipment & understands what to do in case some water gets into your mask for example…

Some handled these skills with a big smile:

While others didn’t seem too impressed! (Apologies Tu, we simply had to publish this photo – it’s too good not to…)

If you want to see how they managed on their dive, make sure to check out the video (link above)!

We’ve seen a lot of big smiles when they came back from the dives and everyone was super proud of their achievement. It was absolutely wonderful to experience this special day together with our team!

We hope you enjoyed this little ‘Special Edition’ of our Weekly Diving Report and hopefully see you back here soon for a new update on Koh Tao’s recent diving conditions!
